Fleet Assistance

Handing over a vehicle to the customer at the showroom

Fleet assistance and claims management

Running a fleet brings daily tasks that cost time and rarely belong to your core business. We take over the part that has to do with damage, valuations and communication with insurers.

What we take over in practice

  • Recording and handling of claims from the first report to the closing of the file
  • Damage reports and control of the settlement calculations of the insurers
  • Organisation of replacement vehicles
  • Valuation and disposal of damaged vehicles
  • Valuation of the fleet for accounting and tax purposes
  • Reports on damage, costs and trends

Why downtime costs more than the damage

On a commercial vehicle the repair amount is often the smaller part of the loss. The larger part is the time the vehicle is not on the road. That is why we work towards opening a file on the same day and carrying out the assessment without a waiting period.

Buy back and defleeting

When vehicles leave the fleet, the value established decides how much you get back. We determine the value of every vehicle, prepare the documents for the sale or the return, and check the offers from the other side.

Insuring the fleet

We analyse existing policies, check sums insured and deductibles and compare offers. More on this under insurance consulting.

Reports and records

You receive an overview of all claims, the costs per vehicle and the status of every file, so that the burden on your fleet does not only become visible at the end of the year.

Assistance line for drivers

Drivers report the incident on one number and receive instructions on what to do at the scene, which photographs to take and which documents are needed. This prevents the most common mistakes that later lead to deductions in the settlement.

Video assessment without taking the vehicle off the road

For fleets, the video assessment means that the vehicle does not have to leave its route for an inspection. The driver receives a link at the scene, allows access to the camera, and our expert records the damage remotely and opens the file the same day. For more severe damage we still come on site, but most everyday damage is handled without any downtime.

When you can reach us

The office is open Monday to Friday from 08 to 16. The call centre and driver assistance are available all seven days of the week from 09 to 17, because accidents do not only happen on working days. You can also send a report outside these hours and we will record it at the next opportunity.

How the cooperation starts

  1. Review of the situation: size of the fleet, vehicle structure, claims history
  2. Analysis of the existing policies and contracts
  3. Agreement on the scope of services and on the reporting channel
  4. Handover of the files and ongoing reporting

Frequently asked questions

It usually becomes worthwhile at the point where claims regularly cost someone inside the company time. With smaller fleets we often work case by case, with larger ones on an ongoing basis under a monthly agreement.

Yes. There the work is mostly about valuations on handover and return of the vehicles, about buy back and about checking the settlement calculations of the insurers.

No. We do not carry out repairs. We establish the damage, check the calculation and the settlement and follow the file through. The choice of repair shop stays with you.

We prepare an independent report showing where the difference comes from and set out the technical grounds for the objection to the settlement.

The driver or the fleet manager reports the incident by phone or email, with photographs and the basic details. We open the file and tell you what else is needed. The call centre and assistance are available all seven days from 09 to 17.
